First Ever British Biscuit Festival in London

We couldn't get more British if we tried.
The Diamond Jubilee celebrations are behind us, and there's now the lull before the Olympics in the UK....
Or is there?
Biscuits are a handy snack for that lunch box and very much a part of Britain and our culture.

Tomorrow is the start of the first ever British Biscuit Festival in London. So if like us, you're partial to a cuppa and a biscuit, you need to hurry on down to see this amazing display at the Brunswick Centre, opposite Russell Square tube station in Bloomsbury, London. Opening at midday-6pm daily 8th June -10th June.
There's Bisc Art (an amazing display of biscuit art). Our favourite has to be the gold custard cream entry by Will Weaver ...

There's Build a Biscuit workshops where you can endulge in learning more sumptuous ways of biscuit toppings; Dunk a Biscuit in your tea competition in the Terrific Biscuit Tin Tournament involving another family favourite, the digestive biscuit; lots of tea drinking opportunites and an amazing Tea Dance...

So what would be your favourite biscuit to pop in your lunch box or picnic?

Ours might just have to be these...

An entry to the Bisc Art by Biscuit Village. Or maybe the deliciously simple Jubilee shortbread recipe ...
